For those of you who know me personally, you know that I am a wee bit obsessed with Halloween. It is my favorite holiday and has been since I was a kid. My parents hosted an elaborate Halloween party for us every year. All our friends would arrive in costume, my dad would wear a mask and come running out from behind a tree to scare them as they walked up our driveway, and my mom would stay up all night crafting homemade crossword puzzles and meticulously decorating spider web cupcakes. It was amazing.
The sound of crunching leaves is like music to my heart, I skip down sidewalks at this time of year (somewhat embarrassing for a person my age, but whatever). I bake pumpkin flavored everything. I even had a Halloween themed wedding for which my adorably sweet father-in-law grew an entire pumpkin patch for the decor.
So it should be no surprise that I had to work in a few Halloween photos of my sweet little niece, Ava, when she visited us last week. Ava will be turning one soon (her first birthday session will be posted soon), and her lovely mom Nicole indulged me as I pulled out a homemade tutu and mini witch hat for the shots. She is wickedly-cute.
Happy Halloween Ava!
