I was honored when my former colleague Petra asked me to photograph her family at Utah Lake. Petra is an incredible woman: energetic, intelligent, accomplished and astonishingly sweet. Thunderstorms loomed the day of the shoot, but we finished the session before the bad weather hit. The dramatic skies and rainbows were a reward for braving the rain.
