My niece Ava loves her tea parties. I remember having tea parties with my mother when I was little, serving imaginary brews and even faking a British accent (a skill that came into use again when I studied abroad in London in college). I really wanted to capture this time in Ava’s life, so my sister-in-law and I started plotting for a spring tea party session this winter. We patiently waited for nice weather and flowers in the garden.
I asked my mom to dig out my old china tea set, which happened to match the dress Nicole chose for Ava perfectly. Nicole even took the time to bake cupcakes with tiny pearl sprinkles. This session was so much fun!
Ava played the perfect little hostess, pouring tea for her mommy.
Love this little face.Ava loved the cupcakes, but I think the frosting was her favorite part. She started just dipping her finger and licking the frosting and sprinkles off the top.She knew she was caught! Mischievous face. How cute is this book? Absolutely perfect.LOVE Nicole’s dress, I am a sucker for lace.Big hugs. Absolutely beautiful, both of them. How sweet is this? I am so glad I was able to capture this special time in Ava’s life with her mommy.
