This past Saturday, I was asked to photograph the Bev Hartig Huntington’s Disease sixth annual fundraising event at The Hawthorn’s Country Club here in Fishers. Bev was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 1999. Bev and her husband Bob began the foundation to raise money for research to find a cure for this devastating disease. You can learn more about this disease and Bev’s story here.
The event this year followed the theme “Around the World to Cure HD”. Guests dressed in attire ranging from Hawaiian shirts and togas to vintage flight attendants and Vegas style furs were surrounded by a culinary tour of food, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower and a ceiling full of hot air balloons. This event was so much fun to photograph, and a huge fundraising success.
Bev and Bob were glowing all evening. The fundraiser included a silent and live auction.Guests were able to bid on everything from autographed jerseys and jewelry to dinner packages and wine collections.Bev has an amazing committee that helps puts this event together every year.Congratulations on another successful year!
